NCHS’s Project Elf will accept gifts for 300 children tomorrow

OMAHA, Neb. (November 14, 2016) What happens when a community comes together to bring holiday joy to children? With the help of Two Men and a Truck, a dedicated group of First National Bank employees will drop off gifts for over 300 children as a part of Nebraska Children’s Home Society’s Project Elf on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 3:30 p.m.

The moving company was connected to NCHS by the United Way of Midlands through their Holiday Helpers website as part of their annual effort to bring people and organizations together to help those who live in poverty.

For more than a decade, First National Bank employees have undertaken an independent effort to collect toys for NCHS’s Project Elf. Thanks to this exceptional partnership of four community agencies & businesses, delivery will be much easier this year. “Over the past 13 years, our employee-driven initiative has donated over $150,000, providing more than 2,700 gifts to children served by the Nebraska Children’s Home Society,” said Mark Spotanski, Director, Partnership Management, at First National Bank.

Through the Project Elf Holiday Gift Drive, NCHS provides the children and families served throughout its programs across the state with gifts under their tree. This year NCHS is expected to receive enough gifts for 2,300 children from over 20 community partners, including the employees of First National Bank.  Two Men and Truck is scheduled to pick up gifts from eight of these community partners. NCHS employees will then distribute the gifts to clients across the state.
