THIS WEEKEND NEBRASKA CHILDREN’S HOME SOCIETY’S SAND IN THE CITY® IS BRINGING THE BEACH TO DOWNTOWN OMAHA
The fun starts with more than 400 TONS OF SAND that has been dumped in the Baxter Arena parking lot. From there, over 300 volunteers from 18 corporate teams compete to build the best 15-ton sand sculpture on Friday, June 10. On Saturday and Sunday, June 11-12, eleven master sand sculptors will carve a 40-ton grand display. The public is invited to a weekend of fun — see the sculptures, vote for your favorite, watch acts perform on the main stage and enjoy great food and an interactive Kid Zone including a GIGANTIC sand box. All proceeds benefit the Nebraska Children’s Home Society.
