NCHS to host 8th Annual Neighborhood Celebration in North Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. (August 1, 2018) – Nebraska Children’s Home Society will host its 8th Annual Neighborhood Celebration at its Children & Family Center located at 3549 Fontenelle Blvd this Friday, August 3 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The public is invited to this FREE community event which includes a fire truck, face painting, a dunk tank, a live DJ, carnival games, Zumba, raffles, free backpacks stuffed with back-to-school supplies, and free food!

“Our Annual Neighborhood Celebration brings together community partners, neighbors and friends in an afternoon of fun,” said Maria Nielsen, director of the Children and Family Center. “We want the community to know that all who need our assistance are welcome.”

This event is made possible through generous support from community sponsors including Rotary Club of North Omaha, Rotella’s Italian Bakery and Walmart.

The NCHS Children and Families Center is located in the first permanent building of NCHS, which opened in 1924. Services at the Center include individualized support, parent support groups, pregnancy counseling, parent education, an early childhood center, and youth education.
